RULES OF CONDUCT FOR YOUTH

Youth members are at the heart of what we do at the Altavista Area YMCA. We hope that your membership will be a fun, meaningful experience for you.
In an effort to make the YMCA a place that is enjoyable for everyone, we ask that all youth members abide by the following rules.
- Youth members are RESPONSIBLE to bring their
cards every day. Show your card to the front desk receptionist and
then take it with you. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CARDS AT THE
YMCA.
- Youth members should show RESPECT by treating other members in a friendly, caring manner. This includes presenting their cards every day in a polite, courteous manner.
- Youth members socialize in the gym.
Youth members play in the gym. - Drinks and snacks must be eaten in the lobby. You may only be in the lobby while you are eating (or drinking) your snacks in a timely manner. They are your RESPONSIBILITY. Any food or drink left sitting around will be disposed of promptly.
- Locks and towels are for youth Wellness center members who are actually using the Wellness center.
- Coats, hats and book bags belong in the RIGHT HAND CORNER of the GYM. Valuables and money may be left at the front desk for safekeeping.
- The sauna is restricted for fitness center members only. Youth members under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- The locker room is for changing clothes and going to the restroom only. Hanging out in the locker room is prohibited.
- The walking track is for members 13 years old and over who are using it in a safe and proper manner. Anyone standing or playing on the track will be asked to leave.
- The elevator is not for use by members 12 years old and younger unless accompanied by a parent.
Remember, in all situations, be RESPECTFUL, HONEST, RESPONSIBLE, and CARING. After all, "Character Counts."
